inner circle

Raul Gomez Valverde

My project examines the qualities of change in landscape. The material includes drawings, animations and photographs that came about as a result of a yearlong project developed inside The Inner Circle of The Regent’s Park in London.

The images reveal natural transformation caused by seasonal changes, weather conditions and human intervention. They also reflect the multiples variables implied in the process of perceiving our environment, playing with tools of both analytical and emotional representation.

The circular graphs, presented in a series of posters and a large-format projection, are mathematical charts based on photographs taken in the same position during one year, revealing changes in the chromatic-proportions of the original scene. The photographs also deal with documentation of pictorial change.
