residual

http://www.raqsmediacollective.net

This work takes the form of a disposable consideration of the residual in the history of the world. Images of the detritus of a meal or snack invade the cheap paper surface of a cartography of time zones in the global working day, accompanied by a text, framed ornately in gold. The ephemeron of the tablemat asks its would-be-discarder, about to rise from the table, to think about why

"there are no histories of residue, no atlases of abandonment, no memoirs of what a person was but could not be" .
